The Schools for Democracy Programme works to strengthen democratic resilience and provide support to democratic changes in education and youth sectors in Ukraine and Moldova.

MUCIT: Museums as Sites of Citizenship

This new project will gather forces across Norway, Poland and Ukraine to support Ukrainian museums and memorial sites by strengthening their civic education programs and building their capacity to safeguard, strengthen and showcase democracy as part of intangible cultural heritage during the war and in the postwar recovery.

Schools for All

In 150 schools with refugee pupils across Greece, school directors and teachers are trained to create safe and inclusive schools and classrooms where refugees are welcomed into a learning environment which aims to provide quality education to all.

Youth for the City, City for Youth

Youth for the City, City for Youth aims to strengthen young people’s resilience to handle crisis and reinforce their ability and confidence to participate in public life.

In the Czech Republic, we promote inclusion through an innovative partnership with the new Roma and Sinti Centre in Prague.

In Greece we work on a wide range of issues like inclusion of refugees in schools to artificial intelliegence in education

In Lithuania we developed a virtual school of citizenship

Moldova

In Moldova, we focus on building inclusive classrooms for all.

Norway

In Norway, we help transfer democratic values and principles into practice in schools and local communities through workshops, teacher training, and learning materials.

Poland

In Poland, we work to strengthen young people’s resilience to handle crisis and reinforce their ability and confidence to participate in public life.

Romania

In Romania, we promote inclusive and democratic education for all.

Slovakia

In Slovakia, we train educators and promote inclusion in and outside of schools.

Ukraine

In Ukraine, our Schools for Democracy: programme aims to support democratic reforms in school education by promoting democratic culture and democratic citizenship in policy and practice.
